The safety model is architectural: GameBuddy is meant to act like a person watching a monitor, not software living inside the game.
External pixels
The standard watching mode uses normal desktop screen capture. It analyzes rendered pixels after the game has produced them. GameBuddy is not designed to inject a DLL, hook a game engine, scan process memory or modify game files.
No autonomous play
GameBuddy comments, converses and can offer general tactical observations. It is not designed to aim, move, fire, click, press game controls or make gameplay decisions for you.
You control the source
Select the monitor, window or stream you want observed. You can disable automatic following, stop watching instantly and turn off web-page commentary when you are outside a game.
Performance isolation
Capture cadence, idle sleep, process priority and compute-device selection are exposed so players can keep gaming resources focused on the game. Hardware and driver behavior varies, so test your own configuration.
Publisher rules still matter
External capture is a conservative design choice, not a universal promise of approval. Game and tournament rules differ and change. You remain responsible for the rules of the game, league or platform you use.
